I hereby decree that technology will cost much less money. I work in the design/development business and though I have tried using low-cost, open source alternatives the Adobe/Macromedia stuff is the best around. The only problem is that it costs $1500 to buy it. Now thats not too much of a stretch if you consider that after four of five full-sized jobs I can make most of that money back, but right now for me it means I need to upgrade my hardware too. To get a decent machine that will run well for at least five years I need to shell out another two to three thousand dollars. Did I mention that I am in school still? I don't have that kind of money just floating around, and the money I do make goes to supporting my family and paying for school. End of rant.
