Okay, so we are back and that means work. While I am still looking for a job, I am already busy with freelance stuff. The hardest part? Starting. Well, I take that back, Starting and Finishing are both pretty hard. It always takes me forever to get started on something and then once I do I get through it with no problems, until its time to finish, then I get distracted again.
I attribute this to one thing: detail. When I am starting a new project, I have to figure out what is needed and the best place to begin. I get so wrapped up in making sure that I know where to start that I don't actually get started. Once I get over this hump, things go well, until the end when I have to go through, clean things up, and make sure everything is 100%. Because both starting and finishing are full of many small steps they seam overwhelming. As soon as I convince myself that it will be okay, it is.
Anyway, my goal for this winter is to just get to it. I need to stop distracting myself and being anxious about projects and instead just work on them.
It is good to be back.
