Why are magazine subscriptions so expensive? Rather, why do I pay money for ads to be delivered to me. I would either a) pay money for an ad free version of the magazine (enough to cover printing, shipping, and paying the staff) or b) pay only a small fee, postage perhaps, and have the magazine delivered full of ads.
