Are network engineers irrelevant in the web 2.0 landscape? Though I do agree that it is easier to build and maintain networks than ever before, I think that the importance of network optimization will actually increase over time. Sort of like the difference between someone who designs a web page in Word or someone that masterfully codes the CSS, HTML, and Backend with attention to standards, optimization, and flexibility.
